Fire Displaces Wallace Family

A house fire in Wallace Thursday night did serious damage to a house at the corner of Main Street and Cumberland Street. Wallace Fire Department Chief Taylor Johnson told the Wallace Channel that while the family is left displaced by the fire, they were able to retrieve some valuables from the home and no one was injured.

Fighting the fire did come with a challenge for firefighters when a portion of the home exploded due to smoke build-up. No one was injured during the explosion.
